The Kingdom: Episode 2

A Week Later...


The Kingdom of Viridian had rallied its troops. No word had been heard about the whereabouts of Prince Silver and Lady Blue. Emperor Pryce has sent his army to seek them out. Each army was headed toward the Silver Pass, the only clear route between the Regions.

It was early dawn as Viridian's army moved in misty valley near Mount Silver. It was eerily quiet. Sir Green, Lord Red and the newly promoted General Rere lead the way on foot into the narrow pass. Suddenly one of their scouts on a Ponyta, that they had sent ahead, came running toward them.

"My Lords… my Lords…" he panted breathlessly

"Out with it man!" Sir Green said.

"My Lord," Sir Green rolled his eyes and Lord Red and General Rere sweat dropped. "There are two travelers ahead."

"This is what you so urgently had to tell us?" Snapped Sir Green.

"We are very important travelers." A female voice in the distance shouted.  Soon two figures, one carrying a lantern, approached.  They stopped far enough away where they couldn't be seen clearly because of the mist.

"Show yourselves." Ordered General Rere.

"On whose authority?" Mocked a male voice.

"The authority of Lord Protector of the Region of Kanto, Kingdom of Viridian." Shouted Lord Red. The two voices laughed in the distance. General Rere grew tired of this game.  She unsheathed her sword. Sir Green, Lord Red and their army followed suit.  Sir Green held up his hand to the army telling them to stay back. The two travelers began to whisper. General Rere and Lord Red began to advance.

"Wait!" the female voice said. General Rere and Lord Red stopped their charge. A few seconds passed and then suddenly Lord Red was grabbed and pulled away from General Rere. She acted quickly and lunged at the assailant freeing Lord Red. See stood towering over the attacker that was knocked down to the ground with her foot on his chest.

"Pigeot, Defog the area!" Sir Green ordered his Flying Pokemon.  The massive bird flapped its wing clearing the fog from the area.  It revealed the attacker as a young man with red hair with his eyes tightly closed dressed in black wearing a black cape. It also revealed the female voice as a young woman with eyes like the sea and deep brown hair wearing a light blue dress and black cloak.

"Any last word before you die for attacking the Lord Protector?" Said General Rere raising her sword in a striking position. She was bluffing only trying to scare the man before taking him prisoner. He opened his eyes revealing the piercing gray color.

"Hahahaha," General Rere sheathed her sword laughing. "To think I was to kill the king over the Lord Protector." She removed her foot from the man and helped him up.  Then without a word she got down on one knee and bowed her head. Sir Green and Lord Red did this also followed by all the troops. Silver had a shocked look on his face.

"Silver, these are your people!" Lady Blue exclaimed while running to him. When she reached him she hugged his arm and kissed him on the cheek. General Rere glared at the woman.

"A-are you my people?" Silver asked a little unsure of what he was saying.

"Indeed, my King. We are to defend the Kingdom and rescue you and Lady Blue, which I assume to be you?" She said to woman and stood up.

"Yes, that is I." Said Lady Blue proudly.

"How do we know that these are not imposters?" Asked the scout

"By the rings they carry." Said General Rere she took Lady Blue and Prince Silver's hands. Each wore a ring on their pinkie finger.  Sir Green had walked over and examined the rings.

"Are not Nobility Rings worn on the third finger?" Sir Green asked skeptically.

"Well, excuse us if we didn't re-size the rings!" Said Lady Blue taking her hand from General Rere and sticking her tongue out at Sir Green. Sir Green eye twitched at the childish display. General Rere laughed and let go of Prince Silver's hand.

"Not to worry, Sir Green, they are, indeed, the two we have been looking for." She laughed. But a few seconds pass before another scout on a Rapidash rode up.

"The enemy army has been sighted!" He yelled. Lady Blue and Prince Silver turned pale. Sir Green picked up Lady Blue, who immediately balked, by the waist and put her on the Rapidash with the scout.

"Ride to Pewter Village and do not stop until you reach the destination!" Sir Green ordered the scout. Prince Silver nodded to her.

"These are my people, we shall have to trust them." Said Prince Silver reassuringly. "I shall stay and fight."

"My King!" General Rere began.

"I want revenge on the man who ruined my and Blue's life." He stated. She looked at him hard, when Green interrupted.

"Fine, General Rere, keep an eye on him!" Said Sir Green. He turned and started shouting orders to his men.

"Come, my King." Said General Rere. She walked to the wagon with the arms. She handed him a belt with a sheathed sword. He strapped it around his waist. They went to get fitted with chain mail and armor.
